Brazilian driver goes second fastest in practice as the team shows stronger pace during the third Stock Car round

The Stock Car Pro Series arrived at Interlagos for the third round of the 2026 season, and the weekend provided another clear indication of the progress being made by Team Tambasa RC.

Under the leadership of engineer Marcel Campos, the team continued to improve its performance, while Sérgio Sette Câmara showed particularly strong pace during Friday’s running.

After placing 19th in the opening practice, Sette Câmara made a major step forward in the second session. A 1:38.165 lap put the Brazilian second fastest, just 0.154s off the top of the timesheets.

“It was a very important Friday for us,” said Sérgio. “We started the day a little further back, but we worked hard between the sessions and found a much better direction with the car. Finishing the second practice in second showed that the work we are doing is beginning to translate into performance on track.”

In qualifying, Sette Câmara advanced to Q2 and finished 16th. The races were more challenging: he placed 22nd on Saturday before recovering to 14th in Sunday’s 31-lap main event.

“The race results were not what we wanted after the pace we showed in practice, but there is still a very positive side to the weekend,” he added. “We proved that we have speed and that we are getting closer to the teams that are currently setting the benchmark.”

After three rounds and six races in his rookie Stock Car season, Sette Câmara leaves Interlagos with more valuable experience and clear signs of growing competitiveness.
