The new hired by the Junior Team was in the office of the company, in São Paulo
Anyone who thinks that a pilot’s work is just to sit in a race car and speed up is actually very wrong. Today, the activities of a competitor off the track is almost as important as his performance on the races. Being connected to the interests of his sponsors and of the brands the athlete represents are one of the major differentiators of modern sportsmen.
After signing a sponsorship deal with the Austrian multi company Red Bull, that entered in its program for developing young talents, the pilot from Minas Gerais, Sergio Sette Câmara (Red Bull / Cemig / Mercantil do Brasil) lived intense days in the last two weeks.
Last week, the pilot was for the first time at the Red Bull team’s headquarters in Milton Keynes, England. There, together with technicians and engineers, he met all the infrastructure of the Red Bull Racing team and, for the first time, he had contact with the team’s simulator, one of the most modern in the world.
“It was a really cool experience to visit the headquarters of Red Bull Racing. They showed me the factory where they produce all parts of the Formula 1 car, and the workshop where the car is assembled. I was impressed with the organization and cleaning at all. I found the Simulator very accurate, it gives the sensation very close to the reality compared with other simulators I had already tried”, said the pilot.
After this commitment, Serginho returned to Brazil, after five months in Europe. Vacation? No way …
This Monday and Tuesday the pilot was in Sao Paulo to meet the press. Serginho talked, with exclusivity, with various media vehicles and also had the opportunity to meet the headquarters of Red Bull Brazil.
Just as in the British headquarters, the pilot was very well welcomed by all, met the company’s infrastructure and was introduced to two other athletes who defend the brand. Adriano de Souza (Mineirinho), who won last week the World of Surfing championship and Sandro Dias (Mineirinho), the skateboard multi champion.
“I was happy with the opportunity to meet the company headquarters here in Brazil. The space is very cool, completely different from the traditional offices. I met people that can help me a lot in my career. Other than that, I was honored to meet the two “Mineirinhos” – the surf one and the skateboard one, examples of dedication, commitment and results in their respective sports”, commented the Sette Câmara.
This Wednesday, already in Belo Horizonte, the pilot follows with its commitments with the press and sponsors when, then, at the end of the day, he you can disconnect from the world of racetracks and enjoy the deserved vacation.
