The sixth round of the European F3 is back to Germany, this time in the Norisring track

The European F3 Championship arrives this weekend, exactly in the middle of its season. The competition, one of the hardest and most revealing championships of worldwide auto racing, is back to Germany to carry the 16th, 17th and 18th stages of the year in the Norisring track.

Boosted by the podium conquered on the last weekend, in Spa-Francorchamps, the young Brazilian pilot Sérgio Sette Câmara (Banco Mercantil do Brasil | Lalubema | Motopark Academy) returns with a renewed strength for the rest of the Championship and, above all, with great spirits in the Motopark Academy team. The team, also debuting in the European this year, had the first trophy of its history precisely with Serginho.

The challenges of this weekend will be much different from the long and very safe track of Spa. The Norisring circuit is assembled on the streets of the famous city of Nuremberg, a space that already worked as space for Nazi parades, during the Second World War. With little more than 2.300 meters long, the track has speeding passages, but mostly it’s rather constrained. However, being different from other street circuits, there are good overtaking points in Norisring and the width of the track allows these manoeuvers to be made in a bit more secure manner than in other tracks with the same format.

Although he had never been in Norisring before, Serginho is very confident and believes he can have a great participation this weekend. “Conquering the podium in Spa was really good. It was like a sign that we’re on the right track and, most of all, that the work we’ve been doing since the winter training last year is really paying off. In this Norisring track everything is so different, but I’ve practiced several times in the simulators of this layout and, with the experience of our team’s technicians and the help of Tom Dilman, the driver coach of our team, I’m sure I’ll be able to fight again to stay in the fastest 10” commented the 17 year-old pilot.
