In Silverstone – England, Brazilian Sette Câmara will seek his first points

A week after the challenges of the Austrian Grand Prix, the F-2 World Championship will land this weekend at the traditional Silverstone Speedway in England for the sixth double round of the season. Ahead of them, the drivers will have the challenges of one of the most complete tracks of the year.

Coming from a great performance in the qualifying session of the Austrian Grand Prix, when he scored the second best time, the Brazilian driver Sérgio Sette Câmara (ACER | CCR | SANEPAV | TAESA | CEMIG | BELL) arrives in the United Kingdom in a good mood. With the new engine changed last week, MP Motorsport’s car # 14 showed a good performance in the qualifier as selo as in the race setup.

Accustomed to the English layout, Sette Câmara has excellent memories of Silverstone. He competed in this track for two consecutive years in the European F3 Championship in 2015 and 2016 and, exactly one year ago, he made his first practice in an F1 car with the Toro Rosso team.

For this weekend races, Sérgio’s main objective to show that he is really growing in the season by earning his first points in the year. For this, the driver did some sessions in the simulator that refreshed his memory about every detail of the circuit.

Another important point of this weekend is the change in the schedule. In this round, the free practice sessions were held early in the afternoon. Sérgio, feeling a bit of difficulty with the car in the high-speed curves, closed the only free session of the schedule with the time of 1m41s660, which gave him the 11th position.

“I believe that after the Baku race our team had a moment of great performance growth. We had a very fast set at the Red Bull Ring last week and here in Silverstone we will be able to keep evolving. I think the tyre wear should not compromise the performance, especially in the first races, and with that, my main weekend goal will be to win my first points of the year, “said the 19-year-old.
