F-E World Championship arrives in Europe with Live Broadcast on TV Cultura (Brazil) and Sportv (Brazil)
The FE World Championship, which had its inaugural round in February, in Saudi Arabia, arrives this weekend on the streets of Rome, initiating a sequence of European events that will also visit Valencia (ESP) and Monte Carlo (MON) .
Making his first full season in the World Championship, the Brazilian Sérgio Sette Câmara arrives very excited in Italy. After the good result achieved in the second stage, in Diriyah, the Dragon Penske Autosport team decided not to debut the new car for the 2021 season and will continue using the same equipment that yielded the second position on the grid and the fourth place in the race for the driver .
This will be the FE’s third visit to the traditional Italian capital. However, the advantage of the most experienced drivers in the category on the circuit has been greatly reduced. This happens since several changes have been implemented in the track which was used in seasons four and five. This way, Sette Câmara, who has never competed there, will have good chances to match his opponents.
The new layout of the circuit was revealed in February and it is much faster and one of the longest of the season. In addition, with the changes, the track now has 19 corners, new overtaking points over a total length of 3,385 meters. The track passes in front of Palazzo dei Congressi, Piazzale Marconi, Palazzo della Civilta Italiana and the entire Ninfeo Park.
“I have spent a lot of time preparing for Rome in recent weeks. I spent three full days in the team’s simulator and did a few days of tests with the new car. In fact, about the new car, we will not debut the car before Monaco. There are many innovations that have been made and, with that, there is no point in taking chances. We did very well in the pre-season, as well as in the first two stages in Diriyah, and we are certain of the reliability of the equipment we have at hand. So, even feeling a little held back in relation to the maximum power of the car, we are confident that we are going to return to the scoring zone and continue fighting to be in the TOP10 of the Championship ”, commented the 22-year-old.
