The Brazilian pilot was announced as the representative of the victorious German team Motopark

On the morning of last Monday (2), in Oschersleben, in Germany, an official announcement confirmed the speculations that were being made for at least three months  in backstage of the main Motorsport venues of Europe. The German team Motopark, currently the German F3 champion, announced the young 16-year old Brazilian pilot, Sergio Sette Câmara (Banco Mercantil do Brasil | Lalubema | Patrus Transportes), as its official pilot for the FIA’s F3 European Championship.

Sette Câmara built his career step by step, growing always on results that qualified him to seek ever greater challenges. Firstly, he was the champion in the regional races, then in state races, national disputes and, only then, he sought the international career. With passages in karting competitions in South America, United States, Europe and Arab Emirates, Serginho had the highlight of his karting career in 2012, when he was consecrated world karting Champion in the X 30 Junior category. After that, already in the main category of karting, the KF, he won in 2014 one of the stages of German Kart Championship and returned to Brazil, where he began his involvement in F3 races.

Also in 2014, in the F3 Brazilian Championship, Sette Câmara joined the competition in the middle of the season and grew considerably along the steps. In all, there were five double rounds disputed, a podium in three races and, in the last race of the year, the pole position. Taking advantage of the good moment he was invited by a team to dispute the Imola race of the FIA F3 European Championship knowing closely the equipment and the shape of the dispute.

Sure that his  natural pathway would be the European F3, Sette Câmara started working in the choice and definition of the team. Taking advantage of the postseason period, in the months of November and December last year, he made several test sessions, got acquainted with the equipment and several tracks. As a result, with all the information at hand, the pilot met with his relatives, driver-coach, sponsors and, together, they decided to accept the invitation from the Motopark team for the 2015 season races of FIA F3 European Championship.

“I am very happy to make this announcement with the Motopark team. I was very well received by Mr. Timo Rumpfkeil, owner of the team, as well as by each member of this team who seem, really, a big family. I am proceeding for another big challenge in my career, but with the certainty that I will be supported by a number of professionals trained and able to offer the best in terms of the European F3. I want to learn a lot this season and, gradually, show my potential and get my space between the great names of the sport. The funnel is increasingly tight, but with determination and perseverance I will achieve success in this stage of my career”, commented the pilot who has the sponsorship of Banco Mercantil do Brasil, of Patrus Transportes and Lalubema.
