Competing for the Motopark Academy team, from Germany, the Brazilian pilot Sergio Sette Câmara (Red Bull | Petrobras | Cemig | Mercantil do Brasil), Member of the Red Bull Junior Team, showed why he is occupying one of the places in the most important program of current young pilots .

With a lot of discipline and focused on seeking the results in each of the sessions, the pilot stood out in the first free practice session, held yesterday morning occupying the fourth position. In the second practice session, when he was performing his fast lap, he was surprised by the breaking of the Volkswagen engine of his car forcing him to change the drive unit of his car.
With nothing to do and aware that, under the regulation, he would lose ten positions for the start of the three races of the weekend, Serginho followed confident for the first taking of times. Very concentrated, the pilot departed for the first qualifying session and, with the time of 1m36s120 he was second fastest pilot on the track, getting just over a tenth from the pole position time.
The first race of the round was played on Saturday morning. After a good start, Sette Câmara, who started on the 12th position, soon began his recovery race. Still in the first lap he overtook two competitors and, in the course of laps, he knew how to attack in decisive moments to win positions. After 15 laps completed, he already occupied the sixth position when, seeking the fifth position, he suffered a lateral touch, and one of the tires of his car became flat. Without having nothing to do, the pilot went to the box and abandoned the race.
POLE POSITION FOR THE SECOND RACE
Following the schedule, Serginho prepared himself for the second taking of times of the weekend, which determined the starting positions for races two and three, which will be held this Sunday.
With a very well tuned car, which by the way had been rising during all activities on the track, the Red Bull pilot managed to establish the time of 1m36s138 and secured the pole position with more than two-tenths of a gap to the second car.
“I’m very happy to be able to show everyone that I am in a very special moment in my career. When I have a competitive equipment at hand I can drive fast, pursue my limit and that of the equipment and the results appear naturally. Unfortunately, for the second time in the season, I was forced to change engine and this that is costing me 10 starting positions in six of the 30 year’s races, which represents 20% of the Championship. But, as a good Brazilian, I never give up and I will make my best tomorrow. I have nothing to lose and I am going to pursue the maximum points possible in the two tests”, said the pilot.
