After two podium in F3 Brazil, the pilot competing in the European season of karting, will dispute the Brazilian Kart, Graduate class

Last weekend,  the “mineiro” pilot,  Sérgio Sette Câmara Banco Mercantil do Brasil | CEMIG | TAESA | MBR | Tear Têxtil | Lalubema | Patrus Transportes | Milplan)) was at the Curitiba  International Racetrack, in Paraná, when he achieved his first two podiums in the main category of F3 Brazil.

Enjoying his last days of vacation before returning to Spain, country in which he lives since the beginning of the season, Serginho went straight from Paraná to the interior of São Paulo. In the Kartódromo Brazil Kirin Arena in Itu, he will dispute the 49th edition of the Brazilian Kart Championship.

The competition, which began last week with a few categories, will have this week the participation of the most experienced pilots on the track. This stage will count with almost 170 pilots among classes Super F4, Super Senior, Senior “B”, Senior “A”, Novice and Graduates classes. The latter, the fastest of all, is the last step in the career of a pilot who wants to follow in motorsport. Serginho, in 2013, conquered in this class the Brazilian Championship.

As well as Sette Câmara, five other pilots who participated were in the last round of the F3 Brazil are in Itu in pursuing the main national karting title. In the dispute of the Brazilian Championship, in addition to the Brazilian championship title, three registrations will be offered for the end of Selective of Kart Petrobras. This competition, which is in its 16th season in 2014, is held annually by the oil state company and will have its final in the Guaratinguetá  Kart Track,  between October 27 and 29. The prize for the winner of the Selective will be R$ 60 thousand plus a complete program of preparation for the international motorsport.

“I’m living a moment of transition from kart to formula. I compete in karting since the age of seven and here I did most of my friends. Competing the Brazilian Championship is always great the best of Brazil are on the track. After more than two years competing in Europe can say that we have very competitive competitors here and, being a  Brazilian champion in karting, is very difficult. I will give my extreme effort in this dispute and I want this title which is missing in my gallery”, commented the 16-year pilot.

After the practice sessions on Tuesday and Wednesday, tomorrow the karts will enter the track for a quick warm-up practice followed for the taking of times and the first qualifying race. The second qualifying session and the pre-final will be held on Friday. The programming will be closed on Saturday with the Final races.
