The traditional race track of Zandvoort, Holland, will be the stage of the disputes.

The 2015 season of the European F3 Championship continues this weekend for the north extreme of the Old Continent. In the Zandvoort Circuit Park, in Holland, the main competition of worldwide F3 will dispute the seventh triple round of the third season with the valid races for the 19th, 20th and 21st stages of the Continental Championship.

The Brazilian pilot Sérgio Sette Câmara (Banco Mercantil do Brasil | Lalubema), from Belo Horizonte, goes to competition willing to improve the already verified good performance of the last two rounds. Remembering he went to the podium (Spa-Francorchamps – BEL) and marked several times the fastest laps of the tryout (Norisring – ALE).

As it happened in all tracks of the season, Serginho never had contact with the Dutch track. The layout, with an extension of 4.307 meters, it’s rather traditional in the scene of worldwide racing. The track was opened right after the Second World War in 1948 and already hosted F1 races. Its current layout includes 13 curves and 73% per cent of the lap is made with full acceleration. According to the engineers group from Motopark Academy, Sette Câmara’s team, it’s a medium high speed track that demands a lot from the car’s aerodynamics. The average speed of a lap is around 170km/h and each spin includes a total of 21 gears.

Sette Câmara is pretty confident about his performance this weekend. Even without knowing the layout, he had several training sessions in the team’s simulator, based in Oschersleben, Germany, and highlights that the track reunites his favourite features in a layout. “This Zandovoort track is very traditional here in Europe. They receive annually one of the most traditional F3 races of the World, an extra-championship tryout and with that, all teams have a very good hit around here. I’m excited about this week, given we were capable of being very fast in Norisring, which increased my confidence even more after the podium in Spa. I’ve spent many hours in the team simulator and I believe we have good chances of fighting for a place in Top10 in the trails and aim at the podium in the three races of the round”, commented the 17 year-old pilot.
